DELL is sinking

"Mayday, Mayday", you can almost hear it coming from the Dell campus in Round Rock, TX and Michael Dell's house on Lake Austin. Every three to four months now there seems to be a layoff of some sort and the halls on the Dell campus' get quieter and quieter. The Dell campus' are becoming ghost towns. I am not sure on the numbers or anything, but on January 30th, 2009, many members of the "Dell Team" will be asked to give back their badges and leave work. Who is to blame for this? Is it Michael Dell's fault?

Now I don't want to give away my sources for any of this information, but let's just say that this is all pretty well deep inside the company. A few years back, a financial adviser was hired onto Dell and was asked to take a look at everything, and give feedback as to what to cut and what not to cut. The team that was assigned the, "impossible task" at Dell, quickly went to work and within a year, or maybe longer, presented a report to those in charge at Dell, to include Michael.

The report was pretty specific as to what needed to be cut and what needed to be expanded on. According to the adviser, if things were done properly, Dell would be able to rise above HP and settle down as the world's leading computer manufacturer. In the end of it all, nothing got changed. The report was probably thrown into the recycle bin. The team was fired and business continued to operate, seemingly, the same way.
Those in charge at Dell are really gutting the company and soon there will be nothing left. What once started out as an American computer company that we could all be proud of, is now a bunch of contractors located overseas. The companies fate is now in the hands of people who don't care one bit on the companies success. Left and right, jobs are being sent to Brazil, India and Ireland, from Dell. Austin is becoming a town for the unemployment.
To make matters worse, just recently we had President Obama swear into office. President Obama has made it clear that he will be taking from the rich corporations, like Dell, HP and Microsoft, by increasing taxes. These tax increases are also being directed towards companies that have outsourced to overseas companies. What do you think Dell is doing with that news? Well, put it this way, Dell has no plan to bring back these jobs to the United States. Matter of fact, Dell is working on sending most of the jobs, overseas. The jobs are created and started at the Dell campuses in Austin. The jobs get perfected and properly documented, then Dell employees travel overseas and train people on that job. Crazy huh!

To make matters worse, the company has no clue what it is going to do next. They have reported that they are going to close the Ireland sites in the middle of 2009. This is huge, because a lot of Dell business and servers are hosted in Ireland. Some business processes are going to be just trash canned.

Staff Management is the Human Relations company that Dell hired out. The company has been known, very well, to simply pick from a hat full of people and just start letting them go. Staff Management does not care about the activities of the company or the mission of the company, they just simply hire and fire people according to a budget they are given. There people to people skills lack heart and personality. It is my belief that this is one of the number one problems at Dell. Would you want a company that does not care about the bottom line, to be hiring your employees and firing?

I knew one of Dell's lead Linux gurus. He had been at Dell for a numerous number of years, and had a good standing record with Dell. He had two parents die and requested emergency leave to take care of everything and to mourn. His manager told him to take as much time as he needs, even suggested a month off. So that is what he did, he took off a month. Two days before he planned to return, he got a call from HR, who said, "Don't come back to work. You are no longer needed at Dell." The manager has no clue that HR made this decision, nor would HR reverse the decision. Less than 12 hours later, the Linux guru received a call from HP and was offered a job that he could not refuse. So why is Dell failing? Hmmmmmm...

I could go on and on about this topic. This hits home pretty well with me. If it wasn't for Dell being located in Austin, I would actually hope that the company would die, but I actually do like the idea of Dell. It used to be an awesome company, but then a massive amount of mistakes were made. PLEASE WAKE UP DELL, get your head on straight!

What do you think?

Brad Pitt's movies will SUCK from here on!

So here it is, Brad Pitt is going to continue to make movies but will not be doing nude scenes anymore. Don't get me wrong, Brad is a good actor. I just have to say for all the women, and for all the guys (gay or straight), that Brad Pitt is such a beautiful guy to look at.

At one of the parties that we hosted in the past, we took a poll from the gay and straight guys, asking everyone if they would let Brad Pitt fuck them. Shockingly, the straight guys were more eager to say yes than the gay guys. A few of the straight guys, are somewhat homophobic, so for them to be saying something like this, without being drunk, was pretty impressive. My point is, Brad, everyone wants to see you naked.

I can understand that Brad doesn't want to have his kids ask about these nude pictures, or scenes that he did. In reality, I would have to say that there is plenty out there already that you will have to explain, why not continue on, why stop now?

Slumdog Millionaire - Movie Review

Here's my spoiler for this review. If you read my review on "Benjamin Button", then you will notice that I liked this movie 20 times more than "Benjamin Button".

Slumdog Millionaire was a fantastic movie! How is it that overseas is beating us out of everything, could it be hard work and originality? First we outsourced our technical and call center jobs overseas, and now, we may be outsourcing our movies. Honestly, I don't think that Hollywood will ever go away, but I must say that it is a really good competition. Slumdog Millionaire keeps you on your seat just wondering what will happen next and how does this story all get pieced together. When walking out of the theater, I could only think of two things. One, "Did I like everything about that movie?" Two, "Who was that cute boy (Dev Patel)?"

I really don't want to give away anything about this movie that will spoil someone's first time viewing of the movie. I do want to say though that the actors in this movie did a great job, from the young kids to the older adults. These actors delivered a wonderful story in such a real way. This movie was more believable and realistic than "The Blaire Witch Project". I am really going to look forward to seeing some more movies from these actors and this studio. Can they do it again?

May I also say that I actually liked Anil Kapoor, playing the host of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire", much more than I like Regis Philbin hosting.

One last thing, the music in the movie is just captivating, I am sure I will be buying this soundtrack off of Itunes! The music was great and the end credits dance sequence was just incredible, them showing off their talent and having fun too! Much like Tom Cruise at the end of Tropic Thunder, but hotter.

Have you seen the movie? Do you know who the third Musketeer was? What did you think of the movie? If you liked Slumdog Millionaire, then you should also check out "The Kite Runner" or vice versa.

Grade:A+

After seeing Slumdog Millionaire I just hope that Bollywood can keep these movies coming!

Benjamin Button - Movie Review

So let me start out by saying that I did like this movie, it was very moving and it really did know how to tug at the old heart strings.
Now, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" was very much like "Forest Gump" and "Titanic". I kind of got the feeling, in the movie, that this is exactly what the writer, director, and studio was thinking. They probably figured that if they make it similar to those movies, then the outcome of their success will be similar as well. Honestly too, I don't really think that there was a single part of the movie that surprised me.

As far as, jobs well done, I would have to hand that to the Special Effects team. I heard that they actually digitally aged, and made younger, Brad Pitt for this movie. If you pay close attention too, the smaller versions of Benjamin Button, in some parts, are Brad Pitt. I don't give Brad the award, or pat on the back, because I really don't think he deserved it. Some parts where Brad did his older man voice, was pretty annoying after awhile, and also I saw a lot of "Meet Joe Black" in this movie. We all know that Brad can act, but not in this movie.

Did Brad get naked enough in this movie? No not really, I mean can we get enough of nude Brad ever? I do have to say though that Brad did do some hot sex scenes in the movie and showed some of his backside, worth watching the movie for that scene.

As for the other actors in the movie, I am not a fan of whinny Cate Blanchett, but I will say that as her character got older in the movie, Cate's acting actually got more believable. The younger versions of Cate were done by a different actor, a child, and the most annoying part was when I noticed that the little girl's voice was Cate's dubbed in. Come on now, why can't they just use the little girl's voice, what is this, the Chinese hosting the Olympics again?

All in all, I liked the movie, the story was different and the special effects were pretty cool. Since I already have "Forest Gump", "Meet Joe Black", and "Titanic" in my movie collection, I probably won't be adding this one to it for sometime.

Can I Be Your Chauffeur? - Eddy Curry

Yes, I know I am behind on things lately. So if you didn't know yet, I am a chauffeur for Longhorn Limos here in Austin, Texas. So when the news came out last week about Eddy Curry being sued by his driver, I was pretty interested to read on. Now Longhorn Limos does have a few famous clients, like McG as I have written about already, but we have yet to hit it huge! Here's what I get from this story, Eddy Curry wanted to have a private driver, as he should. He decided to give his driver a good salary, a place to live and so on, despite the driver's criminal record. Now Eddy's driver is trying to take him for everything.

So according to the driver, Eddy Curry showed his cock and so on, on multiple occasions. Here is what the New York Times wrote:

As the former Knicks coach Isiah Thomas once said of Curry, in a statement that was intended as both compliment and criticism, “He’s a nice man.”

So when his former driver this week sued Curry, accusing him of sexual harassment and verbal abuse, the news sounded surreal to those who know Curry best.

“Nobody can picture anything like this happening,” said Quentin Richardson, a teammate of Curry’s, a longtime friend and fellow native of Chicago. “Anybody that knows him knows that those things are the complete opposite of his character.”

David Kuchinsky, Curry’s driver from 2005 to 2008, made a number of salacious allegations in his lawsuit, which was filed Monday in federal court. He accuses Curry of dropping his pants and making lewd remarks, of using racial and religious epithets, and, in one incident, of brandishing a gun. The suit seeks unspecified damages, in addition to a claim of $93,000 in unpaid wages and reimbursements.

The dispute will eventually be settled in a courtroom or at a negotiating table. But the conflict underscores how easily and how often his career has been thrown off track.

In my opinion, I think that the driver is lying. Even if all of this stuff did happen, maybe when Eddy was drunk or something, who cares! I would actually put up with that kind of behavior, and just do my job. I know that drivers are not supposed to be babysitters but in cases when your client is famous, you do have to make sure that they stay out of the papers, no matter what your personal feelings are towards them or not.

Eddy Curry, if you are listening, please give me a call. I will work for you, be better than David Kuchinsky, and trust me when I say that I would never file a lawsuit over something as petty as this stuff. I mean honestly, it is kind of hot, in a professional manner.

Also, in the picture above, the cute boy might of been Eddy Curry's trainer at one time, or could just be a fan.
